Bob Caulk

Mr. Caulk is a seasoned CEO with extensive experience building businesses and integrating acquisitions in a Private Equity environment.  From 1999 through 2005 Bob was Chairman and CEO of United Industries, a $1+ Billion manufacturer and marketer of consumer lawn, garden and pet products.  Its brands included Cutter, Spectracide, Vigoro, Tetra, and others.  During his tenure, the company grew in revenue from $270 Million to over $1 Billion through an aggressive new product development program and a series of successful industry-consolidating acquisitions. United Industries was owned by private-equity sponsor Thomas H. Lee and was sold in 2005 to Rayovac Corporation.  Prior to joining United, Bob was President of Clopay Building Products, the market-leading manufacturer of residential and commercial garage doors.  Immediately before Clopay, Bob was the North American President of Johnson Outdoors, the parent company for a number of market-leading recreational products businesses, including Scubapro, Old Town, Mitchell, Minn-Kota, and others.  Earlier in his career he held finance, marketing, and corporate development positions at S.C.Johnson (consumer products), and DuPont (chemicals).

Bob currently serves on the Board of two MidOcean portfolio companies.  He is Executive Chairman of Hunter Fan, Inc., the market leader in branded ceiling fans, and on the board of Waterpik, Inc., the largest manufacturer of water flossing devices and showerheads.  In addition to the MidOcean portfolio companies, Bob is also a member of the Board of Directors of Menard, Inc., a multi-billion privately owned retailer; Maritz, Inc., a $1 billion privately owned travel, loyalty, and marketing services company, and several other corporate and non-profit boards.  He previously was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bushnell Outdoor Products, a MidOcean Partners portfolio company and a global marketer of optics and other consumer products for outdoor recreational use.  Key brands are Bushnell, Bolle, Serengeti and Hoppe’s.  Bushnell was sold in November, 2013.  Bob has a B.A. in History from the University of Delaware and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.  He and his family reside in St. Louis.

Elise Donahue

Elise Donahue has been in the consumer products industry for over 28 years. She is currently CEO of South Beach Diet, a MidOcean portfolio company and is also working with MidOcean Partners to identify investment opportunities within the CPG space. Ms. Donahue’s career has spanned a wide range of both corporate and entrepreneurial experiences. Most recently, Ms. Donahue was Chief Executive Officer of Airborne Health Inc. from 2005-2008. Prior, she was co-founder and President/Chief Operating Officer of Prestige Brands International, a very successful MidOcean-sponsored portfolio company from 1999-2004. Additionally, Ms. Donahue has held executive positions at Procter & Gamble, Kimberly-Clark Corporation and Slim Fast/Thompson Medical Company. Ms. Donahue has also served as a board member for various MidOcean CPG portfolio companies including Jenny Craig and Vitaquest.

Doug Fox

Doug Fox has been working with MidOcean to evaluate consumer and business services opportunities and currently serves on the board for Allant, Hunter and Young America Corporation, MidOcean portfolio companies. He has served as both a senior line and staff executive across a broad range of consumer and industrial businesses. He was the SVP of Marketing and Strategy for Compaq Inc., leading five worldwide business units (Corporate Strategy, Global Alliances, Business Development, Marketing and Public Relations) comprising over 2,000 people. Prior to that he was the President and COO of Landmark Communications, Inc. a $650 million private media company with 2 CBS affiliates, 2 CATV networks, 43 newspapers and 6 magazines. Mr. Fox also served as President and COO of Newsday, a 3,000-person organization leading the paper�s growth from ninth to fourth largest paper in the US in five years and as the Senior VP of Marketing for International Paper Company. Mr. Fox also worked for the Procter & Gamble Company for eleven years in various managerial roles. In addition to serving on the board of several current and former MidOcean portfolio companies, Allant, Hunter, totes>>Isotoner, Young America Corporation and Vitaquest International LLC, Mr. Fox also serves or has served as a director of Bowne & Co., Inc., Bowne Global Solutions, Inc., Advanstar Communications Inc., Ziff-Davis Media Inc., Arcade Marketing Inc., and Oreck Corp.

John Haddock

John Haddock has been working with MidOcean to evaluate opportunities in the industrial services sector. Mr. Haddock has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of AVESTOR, a leader in innovative stored power solutions since 2005. Prior to that, he worked at UBS Capital as a Senior Advisor and Operating Partner. He also held numerous senior positions at Ferro Corporation, a producer of specialty chemicals and at Rhone Poulene, a French producer of specialty chemicals.

Ted Host

Ted Host has worked in the consumer products industry for 35 years, most recently as CEO of Prestige Brands International, a former MidOcean portfolio company. After the sale of Prestige in April 2004, he joined MidOcean as a Managing Affiliate. His past positions include 23 years with American Home Products, with the last five years as President of Boyle-Midway Household Products, Inc. (1985-1990), the household products division of American Home Products; Senior Vice President of Marketing for Coca-Cola USA (1990-1991); and COO then CEO of The Scotts Company (1991-1996), a billion dollar market leader in the US lawn care market. Mr. Host has extensive experience in building consumer brands and has worked closely with all three major consumer products distribution channels; food, drug and mass merchandisers.

Blake Lipham

After joining Bushnell in 2007 as Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Lipham was named President of Bushnell in 2008 and Chief Executive Officer in 2010. Prior to Bushnell, Mr. Lipham spent three years as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Union Corrugating and five years as the Chief Financial Officer of Home Depot Installed Products. Previously, he held a number of financial and operational management positions at Procter & Gamble and The Home Depot.  In addition to the KidKraft Board of Directors, Blake also sits on the Boards of ThermaCell Repellents, Inc., and Offenbacher's. Mr. Lipham received a B.A. from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Wake Forest University.

Frank Sowinski

Frank Sowinski has been working with MidOcean to evaluate information and marketing services opportunities. Mr. Sowinski currently serves on the boards of two of MidOcean's portfolio companies, Allant and LegalShield.  He has spent most of his career at The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation (D&B) serving in numerous positions including Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, Chief Financial Officer and most recently, President. After leaving D&B in 2001, Mr. Sowinski served as Executive Vice President - Chief Financial Officer of Pricewaterhousecoopers Consulting prior to its sale to IBM in 2002 and Executive Vice President Of Liz Claiborne Incorporated in 2004. Mr. Sowinski currently serves on the Boards of Buckeye Pipeline Company and Princeton University Varsity Club and has previously served on the Boards of American Credit Indemnity and iMarket Corporation.

David Beatson

David Beatson is Chief Executive Officer at Ascent Advisors, LLC, a management consulting firm serving the supply chain, transportation and logistics industry.

Prior to the formation of the ATL Fund, Mr. Beatson was a MidOcean Management Affiliate from 2006 to 2014.

Mr. Beatson has over 39 years of transportation, freight forwarding, 3PL and supply chain industry experience.

Previous positions include President and Chief Executive Officer at Panalpina, North America, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SupplyLinks, Inc., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Circle International, Group Chief Executive Officer of Emery Worldwide, and Vice President of Cargo at AMR.

Mr. Beatson has extensive knowledge of domestic and international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, third party logistics, truckload, less-than-truckload, contract logistics, eCommerce and Omni-Channel last mile fulfillment. He serves on the Boards of Directors of a member of the Compensation Committees of Descartes Systems Group (NASDAQ:DSGX) where he is Chairman of the Nominating Committee and a member of the Audit and Compensation Committees and PFSweb (NASDAQ:PFSW), where he is Chairman of the Audit Committee and two privately held companies, including T.A.G./Progistics, a technology-enabled eCommerce last mile delivery company.

Mr. Beatson serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council of the Fisher School of Business at The Ohio State University and is active in local charitable foundations in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has a BS in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati.

Ray Valeika

Ray Valeika most recently served as Senior Vice President of TechOps for Delta Air Lines prior to his retirement in 2004.   Mr. Valeika launched the aircraft maintenance and repair initiative at Delta TechOps, one of the leading aircraft maintenance and repair organizations in the industry, where he directed a worldwide maintenance and engineering staff of more than 10,000 professionals and together maintained a fleet of nearly 700 aircraft. 

Prior to the formation of the ATL Fund, Mr. Valeika was a MidOcean Management Affiliate from 2006 to 2014. 

During Mr. Valeika’s 40-year career, he led the maintenance operations at Continental and Pan Am, chaired numerous committees and provided leadership for many of the industry’s technological innovations. 

Mr. Valeika served as chairman of the Air Transport Association (ATA) Aging Aircraft Task Force, which was responsible for developing supplement structural inspection programs. Mr. Valeika has also served as General Chairman of the SAE Aerotech Congress & Exhibition for commercial aircraft, participated in the FAA Research, Engineering and Development Committee (REDAC), Congressional Aeronautical Advisory Committee, and NASA's Aeronautics Space and Engineering Board (ASEB) and has chaired the Engineering Maintenance and Material Council of the ATA. 

In addition, Mr. Valeika is a member of the safety and reliability board for Carnival Cruise Lines and has served on the Boards of Directors of SRT and of Noranco Inc., a Tier I/II supplier of precision machined aerospace components and assemblies owned by MidOcean, and AerCap Inc. In 1996, he was honored with the ATA’s Nuts and Bolts award for his leadership and achievement in advancing safety and quality standards in the commercial aviation industry. 

Mr. Valeika holds a BS degree in Aeronautical Engineering from St. Louis University, Parks.
